About Altered Nation Designs:

Hi Everyone! My name is Susan and I am the founder of Altered Nation Designs which is based in Fabulous Las Vegas. We offer alternative and unique merchandise for those seeking one of a kind finds and something out of the ordinary. We are a small business that features the work of independent & local designers – each with their own specialized area of expertise.

All of our merchandise is eco-friendly because we redesign, repurpose & reuse materials to create everything that comes out of our studio. We are inspired by fashion, music, peace, humor, vintage/retro styles, and pop culture. Creating fashion designs, accessories and artwork out of recycled items is a passion we all have in common and we hope you enjoy our creations!

When you shop with us you are supporting multiple charities and helping the environment all at the same time - go ahead, smile - we know it feels good. We refresh our inventory regularly – so please stop by often, you won’t want to miss our new arrivals – once an item is gone, it’s gone! Everything we create is one of a kind although we are happy to make custom items and “replicas” of some of our out of stock inventory.

Since starting the biz Altered Nation Clothing has changed its official name to Altered Nation Designs since we tend to use and design much more than just clothing. We have been featured at multiple fashion shows, art events and boutiques and are happy to have our very own boutique as of May 2010!

Our new space is located on Fremont - which is inside a new project called Emergency Arts: an old Vegas hospital that has been transformed into a hub of Vegas culture - the ultimate "redesign" project is how we like to think of it! We are nestled in an old hospital exam room where we now exam recycled materials and figure out how we can save them from dying in a landfill. In addition to our boutique there is a cafe, the burlesque hall of fame, a vintage clothing store, artists, photographers, a local zine, art classes and more! We will be hosting events often and so will the other tenants so we hope you make Emergency Arts a part of your routine - remember: Art Saves Lives!
